By the 1950s, Standard Fireworks of Huddersfield had become a major player in the UK fireworks market. Combining good quality products with sensible pricing, the company expanded its output and attracted a loyal consumer following, which extended well into the 1990's.

This advertisement was one of a series produced by artist and captures some of the innocence of the post-war era. It is impossible to conceive that an advertisement showing two young boys igniting a firework in a school would be permitted these days!
